either可用作代詞，形容詞副詞和連詞。一般用於否定句中，具體用法：

either用作代詞時

意為“兩者中的任何一個”，在句中可作主語和賓語。either在句中用作主語時，謂語動詞應為單數形式。例如：

either of them can do the work.他們兩人中誰都能做這工作。

either of the students does well in their studies．兩個學生中，無論是誰學習都不錯。

either 用作形容詞時

意為“兩者中任何一個的”，“兩邊中任何一邊的”，作前置定語用。例如：
