if和unless的用法區別

if和unless的用法區別有：

1、不能用and連接兩個unless從句，即不能用…unless…、and unless….但if…not and if… not卻不受此限。
2、if 可用於引導虛擬條件句，unless一般不能引導虛擬條件句。

if的用法：

if表示如果，可用於從句，或者開頭表示如果。

例句：If they were here,they would help you.

如果他們在這兒，他們會幫助你。

unless的用法：

unless用在句首的話後面用倒裝，用在句中是 如果不/除非表示轉折。

例句：I won't apologize unless she apologizes first.

除非她先道歉，否則我不道歉。

在許多場合，unless等於 if ... not，如：You will be late unless you hurry.也可以寫作：You will be late if you don't hurry.如果你不快點你就會遲到了。
