that's all的意思三種

that’s all是口語中一句非常有用的表法，其用法主要有以下三種

1. 表示僅此這些或無關緊要，意為：沒別的;沒事;沒什麼;事情就是這樣。如

A：How are you feeling? 你感覺怎麼樣?

B：Fine. Just a little tired. That’s all. 還好，只是有點累，沒事。

A：What happened? 怎麼啦?

B：Well, the wind blew the door open. I’ve closed it, that’s all. 噢，是風把門吹開了，我把它關上了，沒事。

Just a funny dream, that’s all. 僅僅做了個有趣的夢，如此而已。

I only dined out with her. That’s all. 我只是與她出去吃飯，僅此而已。

It’s a matter of a few more miles, that’s all. 最多再有幾英里，也不過如此。

2. 表示沮喪或無可奈何，意為：沒有(別的)辦法。如

If all the seats are booked, we shall have to stayat home, that’s all. 如果全部戲票都已預售一空，我們只好呆在家裏，沒有別的辦法。

3. 表示説話或做事完了(或暫時完了)。意為：……完了;……就這些。如

That’s all. thank you. 我的發言完了，謝謝。

That’s all for today. 今天就到這裏吧。

That’s all; you may go now. 就這些，你可以走了。
